HOUSEKEEPER & DAY WORKER FINDER SERVICE |
Looking for a Housekeeper or Day Worker who follows direction well and knows the value of having a good strong work ethic? Families Help Line recruits only the best houskeeper and day worker referrals who are eager and willing to assist with most of your household duties. Our housekeeper and day worker referrals tend to have extensive work expensive in private households while having good to excellent work recommendations from their former and current employers. The "Housekeeper" is available for part-time, full-time, live-in, live-out and long-term employment. You will have the same housekeeper come to your home on a regular basis. A "Day Worker" is available for a day's work from 4 to 10 hours based on a weekly, biweekly or monthly work schedule. Service locations for a housekeeper referral are nationwide. We offer our day worker referral only in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore Metro area.
Housekeeper Duties and Salary Information |
Duties usually performed by the housekeeper are general housecleaning, helping with family laundry and running errands which may include grocery shopping. Meal planning and cooking for the family are not standard duties for a housekeeper. On occasion, we may have a housekeeper/cook who will be available for full-time employment performing household chores as well as providing cooking for the family.
How much do you pay a full-time housekeeper who has extensive experience cleaning private homes and works no more than 40 hours per week on a live-in or live-out basis? Rates for a full-time housekeeper, and housekeeper/cook is about $600-$800/week (or more).
A part-time housekeeper, and housekeeper/cook with extensive housecleaning experience usually earns about $17-$20/hour and will need a minimum of 20 hours/week. A private chef may easily earn in excess of $20/hour with a 20-hour minimum set when planning/cooking family meals in a private household. Our finder's fee for a part-time or full-time housekeeper, housekeeper/nanny, housekeeper/cook and private chef is $350. A 30-day trial period applies. You would be responsible for obtaining and paying all costs regarding criminal and driving record checks when hiring household help through our service.
If you plan on hiring a household employee for long-term employment then we suggest you consider giving him/her employee benefits (i.e., paid federal holidays, vacations and health benefits).
Day Worker Duties and Wage Information |
Duties usually performed by the "day worker" are housecleaning chores and family laundry. You can expect to pay a day worker a wage of $17-$20/hour (or more). You will have always have the same person cleaning your home on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis when hiring a day worker through our service. Our finder's fee for a day worker is $125 with a 30-day trial period. You would be responsible for obtaining and paying all costs regarding criminal and driving record checks.
If you need more than one day's cleaning then we suggest you employ a part-time housekeeper. There is a 20-hour/minimum per week set when hiring a part-time housekeeper through our service.
Families will interview available candidates in-person in the privacy of their homes, offices or in a public place agreed upon by both parties. Unless otherwise suggested by our company, it is the family's responsibility to contact the candidate and give him/her job interview specifics, e.g., interview date, time and directions to the job site. After interviewing available candidates, the family is required to contact our office with results of each interview in a timely manner.
